Scott and Paige Dirksen
Paige Messner and Scott Dirksen, of Batesville, Ark., were united in marriage June 9, 2012, at DeSoto, Iowa. Celebrant Nancy McSpadden officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony. Eli Kilburg provided music for the ceremony.
Paige is the daughter of Trudy and Jeff Theisen, of Bellevue, and Mark Messner, of Cedar Rapids. Scott is the son of George and Janet Dirksen, of Le Mars.
Tara Messner, of Iowa City, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kari Dirksen, Peach Jagodnik, Leah Swenson and Aryelle Theisen.
Delaney Dirksen, cousin of the bridegroom, was flowergirl.
Victor Peterson, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Andy Dirksen, of Collegeville, Minn., brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Keith Messner, Mike Piekenbrock, Dustin Sitzmann and Darrell Shaw.
Seating the wedding guests were Ryan Dirksen, Neil Rohe and Tim Lindblom.
The reception was held at the Stonehaven Barn, DeSoto, following the ceremony.
Paige is a graduate of Bellevue (Iowa) High School and of University of Northern Iowa. She received her master's degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Ill. She is teaching art at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark.
Scott is a 2004 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and a graduate of University of Northern Iowa. He received his master's degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He is employed as director of outdoor recreation and education, at Lyon College in Batesville.
Immediately following their wedding they took a short trip to Destin, Fla., and then traveled to the western U.S. to visit family and friends for about a month.
They are at home in Batesville, Ark.
