MOVILLE -- Kingsley-Pierson won the first two sets of Tuesday night's Western Valley Conference volleyball match at Woodbury Central, but the Lady Panthers lost in five sets by just two points in the final game.
K-P (7-18, 2-5) took the opening two sets 25-17, 25-23, but Woodbury Central (14-15, 4-2) stormed back to win the final three sets 25-14, 25-15, 16-14.
"We came out so strong and then we let them back in the game," said K-P head coach Sarah Colfack. "I do feel like all of my players gave great effort and we are making so much progress.
"We just have to figure out how to finish the close ones. We will get there."

Weber and Ryle Green were tied for a team-high seven kills. Kiana Phelps finished with six kills. Lauren Rassel and Abby Sitzmann made 12 and 11 assists, respectively.
Weber hit one ace serve. Meister and Lily Peschau each hit one ace.
K-P will close out the regular season on Thursday at home against MVAO. The Lady Panthers' first postseason match will be next Tuesday at home against River Valley.
