Millie was born May 17, 1921, in Otis, Colo., the daughter of Johann "John" Henrich Gerhard Plueger and Eshter Louse Maria (Hennigs) Harms.
Millie served in the United States Army from 1944-1945. After 42 years as a real estate broker licensed in California, Missouri, and Iowa, she retired.
Since her teenage years she served in many parishes as church organist and was proudest of services played with her brother, the late Dr. Aaron L. Plueger, Pastor. She commented the most rewarding effort of her life had been serving through the years.
Millie was an avid football fan. She was devout in her faith and generous to help those in need.
Survivors include her sister, Violet (Mrs. Robert H. Grosenheider), of Le Mars; nephews, John L. Plueger, Timothy A. Plueger, John R. Grosenheider, Le Mars, David A. Grosenheider and his wife, Robin, of Le Mars, and Joel M. Grosenheider and his wife, Paula, of Moville; a niece, Priscilla (Plueger) Nelson; five grandnephews, two grandnieces and one great-grandniece.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wallace E. Plueger; a son, Jerry L. Dunmire, and her brother, Dr. Aaron L. Plueger.
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont, Calif.
