Kenneth Dale Heidbrink, 83, of Le Mars, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at his residence.
Kenneth was born Feb. 23, 1929, in Le Mars, the son of Henry and Elsie (Gearke) Heidbrink. He married Jean Ann Lamoureux Feb. 12, 1955, in Salix, and they made their home in Le Mars.
Kenneth was a veteran of the United States National Guard.
He worked as a carpenter and farmer for many years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jean Heidbrink; six children: Joan and her husband, Tom Susemihl, of Le Mars, Jane and her husband, Mike, Malowski of Hills, Minn., Joe and his wife, Shelly Heidbrink, of Crofton, Neb., Kenneth "Bud" Heidbrink of Gayville, S.D., Julie and her husband, Doug Evans, of Omaha, Neb., and Jill and her husband, Rick Noesen, of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren: Micki Kass, Molly Susemihl, Maggie Erdmann, Tommy Malowski, Jamie, Josie, and Jessie Heidbrink, Austin and Michael Evans, Emily, Natalie, and Jimmy Noesen; and three great-grandchildren: Mason, Gavin, and Kendall Kass.
He was preceded in death by his son, James; his parents; a sister, Shirley Pavlik; and an infant brother, Donald.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Kevin Richter officiating at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Tommy Malowski, Austin Evans, Michael Evans, and Jimmy Noesen.
