Bill and Connie Farmer, of Hinton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 16, 2012, at the Hinton Community Center in Hinton. Their children are Bob (Betty) Farmer, of Kingsley and Steve Farmer, of Hartford, S.D. Their grandchildren are Amber (Zac) Krause, of Sioux City and Megan Jo Farmer, of Kingsley, and Cody, Clay and Caden Farmer, of Hartford, S.D. Their great-grandchildren are Kylah and Kobe of Sioux City. Bill Farmer and the former Connie Kirby were married June 17, 1962, in Sioux City. Bill retired from the City of Hinton in 2000 and Connie retired from Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City in 2004.
Larry and Karolyn Freking, of Le Mars, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Le Mars.

The reception will be held following 5 p.m. Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be held in the Gehlen Catholic High School gymnasium due to construction.

The celebration will be hosted by their family: Steve and Lauri Freking, of West Des Moines, and Judy and Jose Cuevas-Freking, of Le Mars. The couple has eight grandchildren: Jordan of Williamstown, Mass., Solomon, Roman, Elijah and Virginia, of Le Mars, and Benjamin, Maya and Jack, of West Des Moines.

Larry Freking and Karolyn Kummerfeld were married Thursday, June 28, 1962, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sutherland.
