Iowa's accepted CRP acreage at 99,684 acres

John R. Whitaker, Iowa's state Iowa Farm Service Agency (FSA) director says a total of 99,684 acres have been accepted in Iowa for the USDA's Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) for the coming year.

Individual county acreage figures, including those for Plymouth County, are not yet available according to Jeff Davis, county FSA director.

A total of 3.9 million acres were accepted nationally Whitaker said.

The figure represents 95 percent of the total of 4.5 million acres requested nationally for enrollment, he added.

Iowa had 3,389 offers totaling 104,868 acres, Whitaker said.
