Matthew and Carissa DeRocher
Carissa Jo Westergard and Matthew Joseph DeRocher of Le Mars were united in marriage Oct. 28, 2011, at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. The Rev. Matt Hewitt officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.
Carissa is the daughter of Carl and Colleen Westergard of Ireton. Matthew is the son of Kevin and Sandi DeRocher of Akron.
Providing music for the wedding ceremony were soloist Joe Feauto and organist Kathy Johnson.
Maids of honor were Cayla Westergard, of Windsor Heights; Caine Westergard, of Ames, and Cali Westergard, of Ireton. Bridesmaids were Traci DeRocher, of Akron; Elizabeth Mace, of Cedar Falls; Mackenzie Heyl, of Omaha, Neb. and Tasha DeRocher of Sioux Falls, S.D.
Flowergirl was Gabby Koch, niece of bridegroom.
Best men were Corey DeRocher, Mitch DeRocher and Ty DeRocher, all of Akron. Groomsmen were Art Voss (honorary), of Akron; Jared Langel, of Le Mars; Joe Feauto, of Akron; Ryan Langel, of Le Mars and Austin Hemmingsen, of Sioux Falls.
Ringbearer was Laytin Koch, nephew of bridegroom.
Seating the wedding guests were David Taylor, of Windsor Heights, and John Sievert, of Sioux City.
The reception was held at Willow Creek Golf Course, at 8 p.m.
Carissa is a 2008 graduate of Akron-Westfield High School, and a 2011 summer graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in kinesiology specializing in public and community health.
She is currently employed as a health educator at Siouxland District Health and as a program assistant at Plymouth County Extension Office in Le Mars.
Matthew is a 2006 graduate of Akron-Westfield High School, and a 2010 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in business management.
He is currently self-employed with DeRocher Construction
The couple took a wedding trip to Minneapolis, Minn., and are at home in Le Mars.
