Registration open for library story time

Tuesday, January 24, 2012
Parents with preschoolers looking for some winter reading fun for their youngsters are encouraged to start signing up for preschool story time at the Le Mars Public Library.

Registration opened Monday for the six-week program, which runs Feb. 6 through March 14.

Children ages 3-5 are invited to join Lisa Vander Sluis, children's librarian, for "cool crafts, silly songs, fun finger plays and great stories."

Those activities will revolve around five themes: Valentine's Day, hibernation, favorite toys, hats and "being too little."

Parents can sign their children up for one of the following sessions:

* 3 year olds, 7-7:30 p.m. Mondays

* 3-5 years old, 11:15 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays

* 4-5 years old, 6:45-7:30 p.m., Wednesdays

Registration is required for winter story time and can be made by calling 546-5004 or stopping by the circulation desk at the library, 46 First St. S.W.
