Larry Wink, 72, of Le Mars, formerly of Kingsley died Saturday, December 17, 2011, at his home surrounded by family after a valiant seven-year battle with colon cancer.

Larry Reinking Wink was born on June 10, 1939, in rural Woodbury County to Johnnie and Elna (Reinking) Wink. He attended country school for six years then transferred to Moville School. He graduated from Moville High School in 1957. Larry then continued his education at Yankton College, graduating in 1961 with a bachelor's degree. He embarked on a 40-year career of teaching and coaching. Larry taught one year in Garretson, S.D., five years in Fairmont, Minn., and 34 years with the Kingsley-Pierson School district.

In July of 1961, Larry was united in marriage to Lynda Buchholz of Redfield, S.D., and this past July they celebrated 50 years together.

He was also faithful to his Lord, traveling once to Albania, once to the Ukraine and seven times to Russia spreading the gospel and helping others as much as he could.

Larry leaves you with this passage: 1 John 5:12-15.
