Kyle Joseph Badgerow 17, of Kingsley, died unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.

Kyle was born Feb. 22, 1994, in Sioux City, the son of Tim Badgerow and Ranae (Dewey) Miller. He was to have graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School in May 2012.

Kyle was enrolled to attend Northwest Iowa Community College next fall in courses to become an electrical lineman.

In school, Kyle was very active in FFA and enjoyed participating in track for Kingsley-Pierson/Woodbury Central (KP/WC) where he was a three year State Track qualifier. He ran the 400m hurdles, shuttle hurdle, 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays.

Kyle was active in 4-H, and enjoyed attending the state 4-H Conference where he met his girlfriend, Taylor, this past year.

He loved to rope, the farm and working with his dad at Move U after school and during the summers.

Kyle loved to meet people and had many friends. He could always make people laugh.

Kyle is survived by his father, Tim (Marriel) Badgerow and mother, Ranae (Danny) Miller, sisters, Nicole and Kayla Badgerow, brother, Bret Badgerow and step-brother, Billy Noll, all of Kingsley; special friend, Taylor Christiansen of Northwood; grandparents, Pat Duncan of Sergeant Bluff, Bruce Badgerow of Moville, Darlene (Dick) Harrison of Sioux City, and Harlyn (Barb) Dewey of Westfield; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kingsley-Pierson High School in Kingsley with theRev. Duane Miesner officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held today (Tuesday) from 6-8 p.m. at Kingsley-Pierson High School, with family present during this time.

Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley is handling all arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in Kyle's name at United Bank of Iowa in Kingsley.
