Alicia is the daughter of Rod and Cheri Nitzschke of Remsen. Alex is the son of Ron and Jan Hoffman, and the late Cami Hoffman, of Remsen.
Providing music for the ceremony were Lori Looyenga at the organ, and Jacob Ahlers, Heather Youde and Carolyn Niehus as soloists.
Maid of honor was Kelsey Paskert, of Remsen. Bridesmaids were Becky Berkenpas of Le Mars, Terra Harpenau, Kara Harpenau, Katie Hoffman, Hannah Harpenau and Taylor Harpenau, all of Remsen.
Flowergirls were Callie Hoffman, Kylie Harpenau and Sophia Harpenau.
The bride's personal attendants were Carolyn Niehus, Kris Schiltz, Kari Niehus, Kayla Gengler and Erika Allen.
Best man was Andy Hoffman, of Indianola. Groomsmen were

The reception was held at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen following the ceremony.
Alicia graduated from Remsen-Union High School in 2008, and earned an associate's degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College. She is currently attending Buena Vista University, majoring in elementary education. She is employed with the Remsen-Union Community School.
Alex is a 2008 graduate of Remsen-Union High School. He is emoployed with Tri-S Farms.
The couple took a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and are at home in Remsen.
