Katherine Long and Ryan Oatman of Lincoln, Neb., were united in marriage July 30, 2011, at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, Neb. The Rev. Jerry Gilbreath officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.

Katherine is the daughter of Merle and Kimberly Long of South Sioux City, Neb., and the granddaughter of Doris Haage of Le Mars.

Ryan is the son of David and Linda Oatman of South Sioux City, Neb.

Suzanne Dailey provided the wedding music.

Kelli Long of Lincoln, Neb., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alexandra Brugler of Omaha, Neb., Ashley Suntych, of Grand Island, Neb., and Kristina Huber of Baltimore, Md.

Flowergirls were Monica Jarosz and Lillie Olson.

Best man was Mark Oatman of South Sioux City. Groomsmen were Adam Stouffer, of Elkhorn, Neb., Travis Yonts, of Omaha, Neb., and Brandon Humphrey of South Sioux City, Neb.

Seating the wedding guests were Colin Anderson, Brandon Bausch and Eric Rapp.

The reception was held at the Sioux City Convention Center.

Katherine majored in business administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a third year dental student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.

Ryan earned his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is employed as an R&D/Field Service Engineer at Lincoln Composites.

The couple took a wedding trip to Maui and Oahu, Hawaii, and are at home in Lincoln, Neb.
