Bradley C. Geringer, 40, of Le Mars, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, following a brief illness.

Bradley Charles Geringer was born March 18, 1971, in Le Mars, the son of Charles F. and Wanda (Self) Geringer. The family lived in Marcus where Brad attended primary and middle school. They moved to Le Mars in 1986 and Brad continued his education at Le Mars Community High School.

Brad worked in the Le Mars area as a chef. He cooked at the Le Mars Truck Stop, Archie's Waeside and Lally's Eastside in Le Mars and Applebee's in Sioux City.

He married Shannon Huisman Feb. 24, 1994 in Vermillion, S.D.

Brad enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Riley of Hospers; his mother, Wanda Geringer of Le Mars; a brother, Michael Geringer and his wife, Heidi of Le Mars; a sister Gina Geringer-Lindgren of Le Mars; his fiancÚ, Caroline Provost of Le Mars; and nieces and nephews, Shane Geringer, Devin and Abby Leach and Brena Fenderson-Bohy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and an uncle, Don Geringer.

A Memorial Open House will take place Saturday from 3-6:30 p.m. at the Rock Solid Assembly of God in Le Mars.

The Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars is assisting Bradley's family with arrangements.
