Josh and Rachel Van Der Maaten

Rachel Schultz of Merrill and Josh Van Der Maaten of Orange City were united in marriage June 26, 2010, at Le Mars Bible Church in Le Mars. Pastor Mike Hulinsky officiated the ceremony.

Rachel is the daughter of Lee and Audrey Schultz of Merrill. Josh is the son of Randy and Karen Van Der Maaten of Orange City.

Wedding music was provided by a brass trio of Richard Bogenrief on trumpet; Gary Reeves on horn; and Vance Shoemaker on trombone.

Sarah Schultz, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Grandin, Brittany Hamm and Sarah Bresson.

Flowergirl was Naomi Lors, niece of the bridegroom.

Best man was Randy Van Der Maaten, father of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Mike Bouma, Dustin Hamm and Darren Davis.

Ringbearer was Dylan Ruger.

Seating the wedding guests were Ryan Simmelink, brother-in-law of bridegroom; Kevin Lors, brother-in-law of bridegroom; Jameson Guthmiller and Andrew Mead.

Rachel is a 2006 graduate of Le Mars Community High School. She graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City with a double major in mathematics and biology-health professions. She is employed as a microbiology lab analyst for Perrigo Company.

Josh is a 2005 graduate of MOC-Floyd Valley High School. He graduated from Northwestern College in 2009 with a major in religion. He is currently a graduate student at Western Theological Seminary.

The couple is at home in Holland, Mich.
