Annette Sieverding, 75, of Madisonville, La., and formerly of the Le Mars area, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010. She suffered a lengthy, lingering illness and died peacefully at her home with her husband, Harry and five children at her bedside.
Annette was born March 31, 1935, to Edward and Agnes Sitzmann of Hinton. Her early years of education were in country school near her home. She graduated from Le Mars High School in 1953 and was employed in Sioux City.
In 1955 she married Harry Sieverding of Le Mars at St. Joseph's Church, Neptune, on Sept. 13. After Harry finished college, they moved to Chicago, Ill., where he was employed.
Later moves were to Oregon, Alaska and then to Louisiana, where they lived in Madisionville.
Survivors include her husband, Harry; her daughters, Becky and Paul Cocanour of Phoeniz, Ariz., Mona and Ward Filgo of Baton Rouge, La., sons Chuck of Manderville, La., Douglas of Columbia, S.C., and Mark of Madisionville, La.; 10 granchildren; and also many Sitzmann and Sieverding relatives in the Le Mars area.
A funeral service is scheduled for a later date.
