Melissa and Phillip McCullough

Melissa Janning and Phillip McCullough of West Des Moines were united in marriage July 10, 2010, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars. The Rev. Kevin Richter and the Rev. Don Slaven officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The nuptial music was provided by violinists Jan Klein, Marty Balmer, Ann Meis and Paul Tindall, and organist/vocalist Mary Snyder.

The bride is the daughter of Norbert and Colleen Janning of Le Mars. The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Cheryl McCullough and the late Janice McCullough of Urbandale.

Erica Janning, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jacquie Novak, Meredith Marlow, and Ellen Schiltz.

Personal attendants were Rachelle Michaelson and Ellen Thys.

Chris McCullough, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Erich Ottervanger, Jason Dayton, and Brian Shellenberger. (friends of the groom)

Seating the wedding guests were David Stone and Andrew Sciorrotta.

The reception was held at Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars immediately following the wedding ceremony.

Missy is a 2004 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School in Le Mars. She is a 2008 graduate of Loras College where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in accounting. She recently passed the CPA exam and is employed with Kiesling Associates in West Des Moines.

Phil is a 2003 graduate of West Des Moines Valley High School. He is a 2007 graduate of Loras College where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in sports science. He graduated from Des Moines University in 2010 with a doctorate degree in physical therapy. He is employed with Johnston Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in Johnston.

The couple took a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico and are at home in West Des Moines.
