Charles W. Bernard Jr. 45, of Sioux Falls, S.D., died on Sunday Aug. 8, 2010, at his home.

Charles Wesley Bernard Jr. was born Sept. 5, 1964, the son of Charles Sr. and Eleanore (Person) Bernard.

On Sept. 16, 2007. Charles was united in marriage with Ann Renken at Swan Lake Christian Camp outside of Viborg, S.D. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls, and Charles was anxiously awaiting the birth of their child this December.

Over the years Charles had many jobs including working at a pizza parlor, Movie Theater, a satellite television station, numerous photography studios, driving truck and for the last 12 years working at EROS as an image processing specialist.

Charles was a member of Faith Temple Church in Sioux Falls.

Charles enjoyed working on the computer, science fiction, photography, the history of airplanes and guns.

Above all he loved his family, spending time with them and helping them anyway he could. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Ann Bernard of Sioux Falls, S.D.; mother, Eleanore Bernard of Sioux Falls, SD..; one sister, Deborah Garza and her husband, Ruben of Beresford, S.D.; parents-in-law, Jim and Bev Renken of Alcester, S.D.; four brothers-in-law, Tim Renken and his wife, Kim of Alcester, S.D., Matt Renken and his wife, Lindsey of Maple Grove, Minn., Jake Renken and, Jerry Renken of Spink, S.D.; 10 nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Nathan, Rhianna, J.J., Hannah, Heidi, Harbor, Hazel, Rachael and Mariah.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Bernard Sr.; and two brothers, John and James Bernard.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Memorial Park in Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
