Local snowmobile club receives dollars for trails, safety

Plymouth County's snowmobile club was presented a check this past weekend to boost their activities.

The Powder Players, Plymuoth County's club, will use the money for snowmobile trail development, promotions, safety, and education.

The Powder Players club was one of seven in northwest Iowa receiving the grants from the Ski-Doo Million Dollar Club.

In total, the grants were about $3,000.

The checks were presented May 22 at Glen's Sport Center in Sheldon

These clubs, along with many other snowmobile clubs across North America, participated in the "Ski Doo Million Dollar Club Support Program."

Snowmobile club members submitted certificates to their local Ski Doo dealerships, and Ski Doo (BRP) donated $10 to each certificate back to the snowmobile club through this program. Certificates were available in snowmobile magazines, at snowmobile shows and on ski-doo.com.
