Gehlen kindergarten, TK round up dates set

Monday, January 25, 2010
Plans are underway at Gehlen Catholic School to welcome the classes of 2023 and 2024.

Catholic and non-Catholic parents of children who will be 5 years old by December 31, 2010, are invited to an information meeting on from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23 in the Gehlen Library.

Parents will learn about the education opportunities offered at Gehlen Catholic, become familiar with the round up process, learn about financial aid, visit classrooms and meet teachers.

Round Up for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten is scheduled for Friday, March 5.

Gehlen's kindergarten and TK welcomes children of all faiths who will be 5 years old by September 15 of the year in which they are enrolled.

For TK, it is preferable that children have attended preschool prior to enrollment.

If space is available, children who will be five years old by December 31 of the school year may be admitted to TK.

Priority for TK will be given to the oldest five year olds.

Gehlen also offers several tuition assistance programs so that no child is denied the opportunity to attend Gehlen.

For the 2010-2011 school year, over $200,000 in tuition assistance dollars is available to eligible Catholic and non-Catholic students in grades Transitional Kindergarten through 12 thanks to the Msgr. Lafferty Tuition Assistance Program.

For more information or to register for TK or Kindergarten, contact Gehlen at 546-4181.
