"Depending on what happens this weekend, we'll start at 7 a.m. Monday and continue until we've covered the whole town," said Le Mars Public Works Superintendent Steve Hansen.
If the city crews are busy with snow removal through the weekend, the tree pickup may be pushed back until later in the week, he said.
Residents can leave their real Christmas trees at the end of their driveway for the city crew to pick up.
The city chips the trees for later use.
