"We are very excited to bring families in to show them what the City of Le Mars YMCA has to offer," said Todd Lancaster, executive director. "The current members of the YMCA have enjoyed the benefits of the great cardiovascular equipment, big gym and the indoor pool. Now is the time to showcase it for those who haven't had the chance to check them out."
In July some dedicated YMCA members and supporters volunteered time, knowledge and skills to help improve the look of the Y and indoor pool.
If you have not had a chance to see the upbeat paint in the indoor pool now is the time to check it out and swim for free.
"Don't wait for the new year to start a new fitness routine. Get started before all the holiday temptations," said Angela Loutsch, aquatic director.
The YMCA will be open for everyone (all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult) to come in and check it out this weekend.
Bring your family in sweats and swimsuits and expect to try the cardio equipment, weight equipment, full size gym, swimming, supervised child watch (only for the day while you are in the building so you can participate in the classes), membership specials, and more.

What a wonderful opportunity to try the Y. However, since the old gym was converted to an indoor swimming pool, it is a rare occassion that the gym is available for a pick up game of basketball...or walking...or whatever you may want to do in the gym.
