City elections Tuesday

Monday, November 2, 2009
Polling sites will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday for city elections in all 11 Plymouth County towns.

Le Mars residents, voting in the Le Mars Convention Center, will be using voting machines to cast ballots while other city voting sites will be using paper ballots.

Absentee ballots may be cast in the Plymouth County Auditor's office from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, as polls are not open until noon.

Incumbents in Le Mars for the seats of mayor, three city council seats and two Floyd Valley Hospital board of trustee seats have no opposition.

There are races in several Plymouth Count towns. They include the Brunsville mayor seat; Struble mayor seat; three council seats in Remsen; five council seats at Craig; two council seats in Hinton; three council seats in Kingsley; and no candidate for mayor in Oyens.

Anyone with questions about where their polling site is should call the Plymouth County Auditor's Office at 546-6100.
