Krissy was born Nov. 29, 1961, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Dean and Janice Bolte. She was a graduate of Alameda High School in 1980 and attended the University of Colorado for two years, where she met the love of her life, Robert Hulsey, while they worked together at the Denver Marriott. Upon Robert's graduation and after the birth of their first child, the trio moved to Raymore, Mo., where their family continued to grow.
Kris was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who homeschooled her five children and gave them all the care and affection she had to offer. Kris also worked for a brief time as the receptionist at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she could use her talents for the glory of God.
After the diagnosis of her two sons with diabetes, she became involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the search for a cure. She dedicated her life to her family, and her life's goal was to see her children succeed and find happiness. She made her home a safe haven for her husband and children.
She was an amazing woman with a bright personality and heart of gold, and will be greatly missed. Her love and memories will be cherished forever.
Through her death, Kris was able to help improve the lives of others through the gift of organ donation.
