Relays pace Lady Bulldogs at Sioux Center Invite

The Le Mars girls and the Akron-Westfield girls both participated in the Sioux Center Invitational meet Thursday in Sioux Center.

Official results were unavailable, but Le Mars had several athletes place according to Coach Cliff Collins' unofficial tally.

The Le Mars sprint medley team of Megan Moritz, Justina Schimek, Ebony Stone and Hannah Steen was third in 2:04.

The shuttle hurdle team of Kasie Collins, Ally VandeVegte, Kirstie Ruhland and Alex Schuett was fifth in 1:19.88.

Kelby Klein was fifth in the shot put (30-7) and Yazmin Morales was fifth in the 3000 (14.56.14).

The Le Mars 4x200 relay team of Stone, Moritz, Schimek and Deanna Le was fifth in 2:00.19.

The distance medley squad of Julia Maas, Abi Pelelo-Ray, Jena Prieksat and Sami Prieksat was sixth in 5:12.90.

The 4x100 wrapped up the Le Mars places as Schimek, Moritz, Stone and Le finished sixth in 56.81.
