Megan and Kent Sneller

Megan Hoogeveen and Kent Sneller were united in marriage July 5, 2008, at Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Le Mars with the Rev. Steve Brouwer officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Modesto and Priscilla Handy of Weslaco, Texas, and the granddaughter of Don and Inez Hoogeveen of Le Mars. The bridegroom is the son of Steve and Jan Sneller of Le Mars, and the grandson of the JoAnn and the late Dwayne Sneller of Le Mars, and the late Merlin and Dorothy Utesch of Le Mars.

Music was provided by vocalist Johnny Stallings (who sang an original song, "If I Could Hold You"), vocalist Jim Hoss (who sang "The Prayer"), and a string quartet led by Laura Haverdink.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

The maid of honor was Beth Sitzmann (Ruden). Bridesmaids were Nicole Rolling, sister of the bridegroom, Natalie Huisman, cousin of bride, Mindi Sneller sister-in-law of bridegroom, and Sara Hackney.

Junior bridesmaids were Kari Sneller and Kayla Sneller.

Gabby Keunen, Maddie Keunen, and Taylor Rolling were the flower girls. Honorary flower girl was Madilynn Sneller.

Personal attendants to the bride were Ashley Hoogeveen and Ann Crosgrove.

Best man was Kyle Keunen. Groomsmen were Jesse Sneller brother of bridegroom, James Handy, brother of bride, Eric Lauters and Derek Krause.

Landon Vahle was the ring bearer. Honorary ring bearer was Thor Hoogeveen.

A reception, hosted by the brides' parents, was held at Hole N' The Wall Lodge in Akron. Assisting with the reception were Kevin and Ruth Hoogeveen.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya.

The bride graduated from Buena Vista University and is employed by Kingsley State Bank. The bridegroom graduated from Western Iowa Tech and is employed by Wells' Dairy, Inc.

The couple is at home in Le Mars.
