Bruce Gene Buhman, 63, of Phoenix, Ariz., died suddenly Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at his home in Phoenix.
Bruce was born Oct. 11, 1945, in rural Le Mars, the son of Alice M. (Johnson) Buhman and Marvin P. Buhman. He graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1965. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country from 1966 to 1968 with one year being served in Vietnam.
Bruce lived and worked most of his life adult life in the Phoenix area.
Bruce is survived by his children; Rick Brokaw, Michael Brokaw, Nicole Brokaw, B.J. Buhman and Renee Buhman, three brothers, Thomas and Jeff, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mark, Le Mars
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin P. Buhman and Alice M. (Johnson) Buhman; a brother Eugene Buhman; his grandparents, Walter Buhman, Minnie Buhman-Jahn, John Johnson and Lena Johnson; his niece, Tammy Buhman and his nephew, Benjamin P. Buhman.
A small private memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 31, at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.
The family requests no flowers and asks that any cards or memorials be sent in care of his brother, Thomas Buhman, 4238 N. 28th ST., Phoenix, AZ, 85016.
