Kelli and Joshua Babcock

Kelli Christine Schlichte and Joshua Ryan Babcock were united in marriage Oct. 4, 2008, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Granville. The Rev. Richard Ball officiated the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Jerry and Nancy Schlichte of Brunsville, and Marv and Debby Babcock of Alton.

Grandparents of the couple are Verl and Eunice Lehner of Le Mars, Greg Schlichte of Craig, and Norma Gerths of Chatfield, Minn.

Theresa Kroll, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Alisha Schlichte, sister of the bride, Tiffany Van Voorst, Andrea Babcock, sister of the bridegroom, and Melannie Babcock, sister of the bridegroom, served as bridesmaids.

Karoline Kroll, niece of the bride, was flowergirl.

The bride's personal attendant was Sandy Koch, aunt of the bride.

Justin Postma was best man. Chris Schlichte, brother of the bride, Fred Dykhuizen, Seth Bents, and Ryan Oltmans served as groomsmen.

Riley Kroll and Elliot Kroll, nephews of the bride, were ringbearers.

Seating the wedding guests were Nathan Sitzmann, Troy Van Voorst, and Justin Koch.

A reception was held at the Sioux Golf & Country Club.

Kelli is a 2003 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and a 2007 graduate of Briar Cliff University with a bachelor of arts degree in business. She is employed at Diamond Vogel in the Corporate Office in Orange City.

Josh is a 2001 graduate of MOC-FV High School and is employed at Babcock Locker, the family-owned business in Alton.

The couple is making their home outside Orange City and will take a wedding trip at a later date.
