Kenneth William Bohlke, 73, of Inglewood, Calif., died peacefully Jan, 22, 2009, at his home in after a struggle with cancer.
Ken was a long-time resident of Southern California working in the construction business.
Ken had a zest for life, a wonderful sense of humor, and loved helping others. Ken's primary love was his family along with traveling, helping others with construction projects and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; his son William; his daughters Chris and Ann; his granddaughter Jessica; his great-grandchildren Brennan, Gavin and Ashlyn; his siblings, brothers, Tom, Mike, Rick, Dennis, Chuck and Ron; and his sisters, Betty, Juletta, Mary, Jean, Connie, Nancy, Cindy, and Lori.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Adeline Bohlke, and a brother, Bob.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 624 - 15th St., in Manhattan Beach, Calif. A luncheon will follow.

An Iowa service will be held in Le Mars at a later date.
