Julie and Jason Huckaby

Julie Bohnenkamp of Cary, N.C., and Jason Huckaby of Raleigh, N.C., were united in marriage Aug. 30, 2008, at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Charlotte, N.C. The Rev. Lawrence Womack officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bob and Jeanne Bohnenkamp of Le Mars and the bridegroom is the son of Harry and Charlotte Huckaby of Charlotte, N.C.

Providing the nuptial music was organist Bud Kirby.

Katie Gerjerts of Lenexa, Kan., sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Best man was Harry Huckaby, father of the bridegroom.

Seating the wedding guests were Marty Bohnenkamp and Matt Bohenkamp, brothers of the bride, Ben Huckaby, brother of the bridegroom and Brandon Huckaby, son of the bridegroom.

The reception was held at Maggiano's Little Italy in Charlotte at 5 p.m.

A Catholic convalidation ceremony and reception will be held May 30, 2009, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Neptune, at rural Le Mars.

Julie is a graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and the University of Iowa. She is a a medical technologist at University of North Carolina Healthcare.

Jason is a graduate of West Charlotte High School and North Carolina State University. He is a chemical engineer at Eastern Research Group.

The couple is planning a wedding trip to Hawaii in the fall of 2009.

They are at home at 8218 Beaded Stone Street, Raleigh, N.C.
