Dancing and fellowship will be available in "Old Central" Gym where "Music Illusions" will star Tom and Patty Mullally and friends. Doors to the Gym lobby will open at 6 p.m.
A silent auction is planned for the lobby, with many items donated from area businesses. Several area businesses are helping to sponsor the night, which is a non-alcoholic option for the public. All proceeds will go to the Museum.
A grandfather clock will be given away in a raffle at approximately 10 p.m. The late Laura Lauters, a charter board member of the Museum, donated the funds for the clock. Her memorial service was Oct. 4 in the museum's gym.
A festive ball will drop from the Gym ceiling at 11 p.m. in keeping with the "New York" theme. Raffle tickets continue to be available at the Museum and also may be purchased at the ball. A big-screen television will show the New York Times Square ceremony as the Museum ball drops.
Tickets are now on sale at the Museum for a discounted rate; they also will be available at the door the night of the ball. The price includes free hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages, all donated by area businesses and Museum volunteers.
