Lisa and Kyle Oetken

Lisa Mary Laveck and Kyle Mathew Oetken were united in marriage July 26, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Iowa City. Pastor Bruce Dissell officiated at the double ring ceremony, and mothers of the couple read scripture.

Parents of the couple are David and Brenda Laveck of Tinley Park, Ill., and Neal and Sheryl Oetken of Le Mars. Special wedding guests were the bridegroom's grandparents Eugene and Marian Guenther of Le Mars.

Music was provided by pianist Jaron Rosien, trumpeter Justin Mann, and vocalist David Laveck, father of the bride.

Lori Jadin of Manhattan, Ill., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Abby Glavan of Duluth, Minn., Michelle Perez of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Lena Mann of Iowa City.

Flowergirl was Ashleigh Jadin, niece of the bride.

Daniel Oetken and Allen Oetken of Le Mars, brothers of the bridegroom were best men. Groomsmen were John McCannon of Mesa, Ariz., and Bryce Hemme of Ankeny.

Seating the guests were Tyler Penning of Iowa City, and Jason Jadin of Manhattan, Ill.

A reception was held at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel Ballroom.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Iowa. Lisa is employed by CRST International in Cedar Rapids.

The bridegroom is a graduate the University of Northern Iowa and recently completed his MBA from the University of Iowa. Kyle is employed by Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.

The couple is planning a Caribbean cruise in January. They are at home in Cedar Rapids.
