Sue Kroesche began sharing her love of books here when she became director of the Le Mars Public Library in October.

In the two months she's been here, Kroesche said she's met a lot of people.

"It takes me a little while to put names and faces together," Kroesche said. "I hope people will be patient with that."

During an Open House at the library from 4:30 to 6 p.m. next Wednesday, Dec. 10, residents are invited to come and meet Kroesche.

There will be refreshments including coffee, hot apple cider, bars and cookies amid other goodies, and Kroesche hopes people will come "say hi, meet me."

"The people that I'm working with are absolutely fantastic," Kroesche said. "I've been meeting a lot of people, and I've been impressed with our patrons."

Kroesche also encouraged people to come to the Open House and check out a copy of "Three Cups of Tea" written by Greg Mortenson.

That book will be discussed in a book club at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 7.

Before coming to Le Mars, Kroesche worked part-time at the Orange City Public Library.
