The Kingsley Chamber of Commerce Hometown Christmas Committee announces plans for this year's 14th Anniversary Celebration.

The Hometown Christmas events begin today (Friday) when Kingsley businesses will feature Christmas specials for shoppers.

The K-P Dance attack will be sponsoring a Santa's Workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, in Kingsley, for children ages 4-12. Kids will be able to choose two Christmas crafts, decorate a cookie, and have their photo taken with Santa.

The Warming Station will be open from 5 to 7p.m. in the Masonic Hall, serving cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. The Davisons will be in town for horse drawn wagon rides. Passengers are asked to contribute one non-perishable food item for The Spooks; food will be collected at the Masonic Hall entrance.

The Fifth Annual Hometown Christmas Lighted Parade will be held at 7 p.m. in downtown Kingsley. All businesses, churches, organizations, families and etc. are encouraged to enter the parade. Prizes will be awarded to the top three best entries. Entries will line up at the corner of Third and Brandon, by Kingsley Nursing & Rehab Center beginning at 6 p.m.

Drawings for gifts and Kingsley Bucks will be held after the parade Friday evening in the Main Square. There are lots of prizes to give away, and those attending may wish to bring lawn chairs for seating. You must be present to win.

On Saturday morning, Nov. 29, businesses will open with more Christmas specials.

More Hometown Christmas events will continue at the Kingsley Community Center, with the Chamber Soup Lunch beginning at 10 a.m.; free will offering accepted. The children will want to be sure to gather around as Santa will be ready to hear their Christmas wishes.

The Santa Toy Give-away and Drawings for gifts and Kingsley Bucks will follow; must be present to win.

On Sunday, Nov. 30, enjoy the KCAC Breakfast Fundraising Event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the K-P High School Commons. Its menu features scrambled eggs, sausage, omelets, pancakes, french toast, and biscuits and gravy. The public is encouraged to come give support to this community organization.
