Just because you are reading this article in the newspaper, doesn't mean this man is guilty. Most people forget that to be found guilty, it must be proven in a court of law. Every person must be considered innocent until proven guilty. That is what are justice system is founded on. We have no facts other than what the public police records reflect. This person was charged with these crimes but he has not yet been found guilty
I do not care that he is hispanic, I am just glad there is one less person dealing drugs out there. I hope more people like him end up in prison (drug dealers).
I do not think it is right to blame the cops saying they probably planted it on him... Sounds childish to say.
Well we wouldn't have to even have as much of a problem with drugs if they were serious about ending the problem. This isn't local, not about race, religion, or any other bias. Many a caucasian has been entered here. The problem is truly economic. I was part of the WAR ON DRUGS during the 80's. There is only enough pressure put on to make it LOOK like the government is serious about ending the problem. Too much money to be had in payoffs, redistribution, and job security. Seeing it happen and watching the progressions, it isn't a serious effort, just a serious problem. Needs to be cleaned up. 1 person arrested in a gathering where drugs are used... doesn't that imply others were there using drugs? Think about it...
Oh..one more thing...if you are unhappy with how the police treated someone.
Make sure the Mayor and City Council know.
The police are doing their job...honestly I hope.
If you have a problem with the laws, go after the politicians who make the laws.
Go after your town council, your county supervisors, your state legislators and your national legislators.
Just so there is no confusion..by "go after" I mean let them know your opinion loud and clear as I have begun to do.
Wow, no big write up and someone is upset. Did you ever think maybe the story just made the deadline and a full story will come in a later edition? DUHHHH Yeah considering all the negative comments about the railroad arrests, I am sure some ignoramus blames the "bad" cops of LeMars for setting this poor guy up. They probably made him sell cocaine & pot, hey they probably even gave him people to sell too...please. One thing I do know is that a DRUG DEALER was arrested and is in jail. I happen to think that is a good thing. I dont care if he is green............
Le Mars Citizen...your comment...
Sad...and pathetic
Those are some pretty ignorant comments!
one question! They bust a Hispanic and it gets put in the paper but yet they bust 2 Caucasians and not one write up about it!?
Sioux city journal gave details to it, why won't the Le Mars paper?
Amazing all the bad is blamed on the Hispanics yet nothing much on the Caucasians!
I'm a mix of everything from Irish to Italian so don't claim I'm just another Hispanic complaining!
Sounds fishy how this town works!
It was probably planted on him by the Le Mars Police.
