'Holiday Dollars' sale is Saturday

Thursday, November 13, 2008
With $15,000 in Chamber Holiday Dollars on sale this Saturday, area residents can save money and support Le Mars Chamber businesses during the holiday shopping season.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chamber of Commerce office at 50 Central Ave. S.E.

Shoppers will be able to purchase $100 worth of Chamber Holiday Dollars for only $85. The Holiday Dollars are sold in packets of $100 and are limited to $100 per person.

The five Le Mars banks, American Bank, First National Bank, Kingsley State Bank, Primebank and Vantus Bank will have personnel on hand to assist customers in the purchase of Holiday Dollars. Each of the banks has donated money to underwrite the program in support of Chamber businesses, according to Mary Reynolds, Le Mars Main Street Manager.

"This is a wonderful way to put the money back into the community," said Reynolds.

Shoppers may begin to line up at 9:30 a.m. in the hallway outside the Chamber office. Doors will open at 10 a.m. with customers entering the Chamber's conference room and exiting through the front door of the Chamber office.

"They'll be out the door and ready to shop in a matter of minutes," said Reynolds.

She noted at last year's Holiday Dollars sale, the $15,000 was sold in 10 minutes.

"It goes quickly," she added.

Amanda83 - where did you try to use them? Any Chamber member involved with the Holiday Open House will take them, they can deposit them in their checking account just like a check. Most retailers will take them, even Walmart will take them!
