Barry Cornish, the town's mayor, had received a permit to build a large metal Morton shed in a residential area of Craig, population 100.

At a meeting last week, Cornish presented new building plans that changed the look of the shed to more of a residential design.
"I redesigned the front," Cornish said. "I dropped the front 24 feet, added brick around the wainscoat, added windows and took out one of the big entry doors on the south side. Now it'll only have three doors."
The changes mean one less access point and a higher construction costs for Cornish.
"But it will dress it up," he said. "It's going to look nice."
After discussion, the council voted unanimously to allow the building.
Cornish plans to start construction after February 2009.
Joe Swain, a Craig resident who has protested the proposed building, was disappointed at the council's decision, but he said he won't fight it anymore.
"I'm done. I just cashed in," Swain said.
His and others' protest did have an impact even though it wasn't the result they were hoping for.
"The only thing we did get was he did lower the front of the building and made it look more like a house," Swain said. "The front will look very similar to my house."
