John H. Siebens, 82, of Omaha, Neb., died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at an Omaha hospital.
John was born July 22, 1926, in Plymouth County, the son of John and Helena (Rieken) Siebens.
He grew up on the family farm by Brunsville. After high school, he married Irene Davis of Hubbard, Neb. Shortly after their marriage, John and Irene moved to Omaha, Neb., where they have lived since. John worked many years for John Kraft Chevrolet in Omaha, retiring in 1992.
John loved to fish and was a member of the Optimist club.
Survivors include his wife, Irene, of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Lisa and her husband, Michael Fry, of Springfield, Va.; granddaughter Jessica Fry, also of Springfield, Va.; a brother, Orval Siebens and a sister, Marlis (Siebens) Linstrand, both of Le Mars; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 3, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Omaha.
