Grandparents of the bride are Bill and Dolores Geneser and Willy and Gwen Nixon, all of Woodward. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Arlene Galles and the late Milton Galles of Remsen and Lyle and Phyllis Schroeder of Granville. Florence Schroeder of Remsen is the bridegroom's great-grandmother.
Music was provided by Karen Boeyink with Danika Portz of Remsen, cousin of the bridegroom as vocalist with Andrew Portz, cousin of bridegroom as violinist.
Sarah Springer of Des Moines, sister of bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Joni Nibbelink of Alton, Whitney Nixon of Granger, cousin of bride, and Janelle Bolton of Le Mars, Sandy Schroeder of Ames and Leah Schroeder of Granville, all sisters of the bridegroom.
Flowergirls were Brianna Springer and Trinity Springer of Des Moines, both nieces of the bride and Paris Schroeder and Madison Schroeder of Granville, both sisters of the bridegroom.
Best man was Jeff Schroeder of Ames, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Andrew Nixon of Des Moines, brother of the bride, Brett Hansen of Emmetsburg and Evan Pottebaum of Brookings, S.D., Randy Schroeder of Granville, brother of the bridegroom and Russel Schroeder of Remsen, cousin of the bridegroom.

A reception and dance followed the ceremony at the VFW Hall in Paullina.
The bride is a graduate from Woodward-Granger High School and Buena Vista University and is a Head Start Teacher in Hawarden.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Spalding Catholic High School and Iowa Lakes Community College. He is engaged in farming.
They are at home in rural Remsen.
