Maynard and Virg Johnson of Le Mars will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at the American Legion Club in Le Mars. The couple requests no gifts, please.

Hosting the golden event will be their children, Debra and Robert Fuller of Le Mars and Sheila and Robert Williams of Merrill. The couple has four grandchildren, one step-grandchild, three great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.

Maynard Johnson and the former Virginette Beeck were married Oct. 19, 1958, at St. John's American Lutheran Church in Le Mars.
