Play was fairly even through the three-game match, with the Blackhawks winning by the largest margin in game one with a 25-13 victory.
Game two was much of the same as Hinton jumped to a 25-14 win to lead MMC 2-0 in the match.
The Eagles were able to scrape up a few more points in game three, but it wasn't enough as the Blackhawks won 25-16 to take the match victory.
"We did a good job," Hinton coach Kate Ortegren said. "We did get a little tippy here and there, but when we were hitting and serving aggressively, that pretty much put us in charge of the game."
The Blackhawk offense was led by Britni Freed. The senior outside hitter pounded down a team-high 13 kills in the match. Ashton Moody and Erin Hedlund added five kills apiece to the winning effort.
Kylee Landenberger set up the offense, dishing up 27 assists.
Hinton's offense was accelerate by the serving efforts of Hedlund and Freed. Hedlund smacked in three ace serves while Freed added a pair of aces.

"Our game plan going in was to use those free balls and run our free ball plays," Ortegren said. "Sometimes we can get kind of lazy, but our game plan was to dig free ball passes and get them to the setter. We got a lot of digs and we did a good job doing that."
With the win, Hinton improves to 6-0 in league play. The Blackhawks look to continue their league streak today as they travel to Paullina to take on South O'Brien.
The two squads met up earlier this season during the pool play round of the Le Mars Invite. Hinton got the 2-0 win, defeating the Wolverines 21-16 and 21-15.
