After a short break as R-V played Woodbury Central, the Lady Rockets were matched up with the Wildcats and couldn't quite muster up the winning formula as they fell 3-0 to WC.
With a 25-13 win in the first game, the Wildcats continued to put pressure on the Lady Rockets and were able to squeeze out a 25-17 win in game two. Needing one game to stay alive, R-U battled back against WC but eventually fell 25-16 to drop their overall record to 2-10.
In the Lady Rockets' game with River Valley, Gina Mae Frericks led the team in most statistical categories as she was 13-13 from the service line and also tied team-highs in kills and digs. Frericks tied Jen Ruba with six kills and shared the team-high in digs with Kelsey Paskert as they both had 20. The senior also added two blocks for R-U.

Ruba led the Lady Rockets in kills with six to edge out Gina Mae Frericks by one as the senior finished with five. Ruba also was able to record two blocks to lead R-U.

"We just fell apart as a team. We weren't working together as a team and that's what hurt us and I hope the girls learn from that," said R-U's Kelly Weiler. "It seemed liked we played to the potential of our opponents and just didn't have the desire. We're just really tired - it was a long weekend for everyone and this will be a nice weekend to have off."
The Lady Rockets will need their days off as next week's schedule doesn't get any easier. After traveling to Kingsley-Pierson on Tuesday, R-U will travel to Whiting next Thursday before taking part in the Western Valley Conference tournament scheduled for next Saturday.
