The supervisors directed Mike Porter, CEO of Pride Group, to obtain a firm cost estimate to fix floors in four showers and two bathrooms at the residential care facility (RCF) on Highway 3.

"I'm really concerned about the showers," Porter said.
The supervisors looked at photographs, which showed floor deterioration in both areas.
"There is a smell, an odor that is very noticeable," Porter said. "We need to make sure we are addressing this issue."
Porter said inspectors look for those types of problems, and could demand the repairs be made.
"I would like to be ahead of the game," he said.
The supervisors agreed the repairs are necessary, but wanted cost estimates in writing for the entire project before taking any action.
"This is one of those things we have to get done," Supervisor Jim Henrich said.
In addition to restroom repairs, Porter also told the supervisors about a 20-year-old freezer that needs to be replaced at the RCF.
"The box is shot," Porter said. "The dietician has been scolding me about it."
Porter said there is an opportunity to purchase a stainless steel freezer for $5,000 from Wells' Dairy.
"It's stainless steel outside and inside," Porter said. "It's pretty good size."
He said the freezer will be dismantled and removed from the former Wells' Dairy facility, 1 First St. S.W., but the purchase price does not include transportation costs.
The supervisors advised Porter to do more research as to the value of the freezer, whether its size fits the facility's needs and how much transportation costs will be.
