School board elections for Plymouth County school districts will be Tuesday, Sept. 9.

In the Le Mars Community School District, polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. where voters will cast their ballots for two director seats, and give a "yes" or "no" vote on the Instructional Support Levy request.

For voters in the Remsen-Union, Akron-Westfield, Hinton, and Kingsley-Pierson school districts, polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m.

Absentee ballots returned by the voter by mail must be postmarked no later than Monday, Sept. 8.

Absentee ballots may be hand-delivered to the auditor's office up to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Absentee ballots may also be cast in person at the auditor's office through 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8.

Requests for absentee ballots must be made by filling out a request form, either in person at the auditor's office, or by mailing a completed request form to the auditor's office. Those forms are available in the auditor's office or may be downloaded at www.co.plymouth.ia.us and clicking on the auditor's office tab.
