In the Le Mars Community School District, polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. where voters will cast their ballots for two director seats, and give a "yes" or "no" vote on the Instructional Support Levy request.

Absentee ballots may still be requested from the Plymouth County Auditor's Office. A request by mail for an absentee ballot must be received at the Auditor's office no later than Friday morning, Sept. 5. That is the last day the auditor's office will send out ballots by mail. Absentee ballots returned by the voter by mail must be postmarked no later than Monday, Sept. 8.
Absentee ballots may be hand-delivered to the auditor's office up to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Absentee ballots may also be cast in person at the auditor's office through 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8.
Requests for absentee ballots must be made by filling out a request form, either in person at the auditor's office, or by mailing a completed request form to the auditor's office. Those forms are available in the auditor's office or may be downloaded at www.co.plymouth.ia.us and clicking on the auditor's office tab.
Polling locations for Le Mars Community School District voters are:
Precinct 1 - Le Mars Public Library for district residents of Elgin, America, Marion and Fredonia Townships and the Town of Struble.
Precinct 2 - Craig City Hall for district residents of Grant and Preston Townships and the town of Craig.
Precinct 3 - Brunsville Legion Club for district residents living in Washington and Johnson Townships and the town of Brunsville.
Precinct 4 - Merrill Civic Center for district residents living in Liberty, Plymouth, Stanton and Lincoln Townships and the town of Merrill.
Precinct 5 - Le Mars Convention Center, lower level, for district residents living within the corporate limits of the City of Le Mars.
The canvass of all election results by the Plymouth County Board of Supervisors will be held Friday, Sept. 12.
