School election absentee ballots available

Request forms for absentee ballots for the Sept. 9 Plymouth County school board elections are now available at the Plymouth County Auditor's office in Le Mars.

Ballot request forms may be picked up at the auditor's office from 8 am. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or requested by mail. That form is available at the auditor's office or by downloading from the county's website at www.co.plymouth.ia.us and clicking on the auditor's office tab.

Voters in the Le Mars Community School District will cast their ballots at precincts in Craig, Brunsville, Merrill and in Le Mars at the Le Mars Public Library and the Le Mars Convention Center with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to voting on two director seats, LCS district voters will also vote on the Instructional Support Levy request.

Polling places for voters in the Akron-Westfield, Remsen-Union, Hinton and Kingsley-Pierson school districts will be open to noon until 8 p.m.

The last day for the auditor's office to mail an absentee ballot is Friday, Sept. 5, in which they have to be postmarked with Monday, Sept. 8 date. Absentee voting is available in the Auditor's office until 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8.
