The Plymouth County Supervisors looked at purchasing a $3,000 trailer on Tuesday, but tabled the discussion until their meeting next week.

The trailer would be able to carry one-half of the county's machines in one load. Poll workers always set up the east and west sides of the county separately anyway, she said.
The trailer would be stored at the county's emergency management department either inside or outside depending on space. It would be used with a van that was given to the election department by the conservation department, Meyer said.
Larry Hoffman, Plymouth County Courthouse custodian, said he would build shelves inside the trailer to make it suitable for carrying the voting machines.
Supervisor Craig Anderson asked whether a trailer could be rented on election nights, but neither Meyer nor Hoffman had that information.
Anderson also wanted to know if the voting machines could be stored inside the trailer.
"No because they have to be in a controlled environment," Meyer said.
That means keeping them in a locked place where the temperature can be monitored.
Meyer said the trailer would also be available for use by other departments.
The supervisors tabled the discussion because taking action concerning the purchase of the cargo trailer was not listed on Tuesday's meeting agenda.

There should be a cost analysis done. Would purchasing the trailer save the taxpayers money and if so how much for each election? What is the return on investment?
