Jeanette R. Jordan, 75 of Columbus, Neb., and formerly of Randolph, Neb., died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus.

She was born July 8, 1933, at Randolph, Neb., the daughter of William and Anna ( Wendt ) Milander and graduated from Randolph High School in 1951.

Jeanette married Elno Jordan on Aug. 5, 1951, at United Methodist Church in Randolph. The couple spent most of their lives farming around the Hartington/Randolph area. She worked at the nursing home in Hartington for a few years before starting work at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Randolph where she was employed for 32 years before retiring. While at Colonial Manor Jeanette received the "Employee of the Year" for the city of Randolph.

She had been living at the Golden Living Center in Columbus for the past six years.

Jeanette enjoyed flowers, especially red petunias, gardening, country music, especially Alan Jackson and her grandchildren.

Jeanette is survived by her three children: Pamela Sue Rohde (Randy Rohde) Columbus, Neb., Patty Jo Bideaux (Matthew Bideaux) Lincoln, Neb., and Mark Elno Jordan (Linda Jordan) Akron; 10 grandchildren: Melissa Kaye Schwenn (Jared Schwenn) of Omaha, Heather Marie Korus (Josh Korus) of Omaha, Michael James Sauser (Danielle Dessouet) of Long Beach, Calif., James Joseph Sauser (Jamie Kunzman) Lincoln, Neb., Morgan Rae Bideaux of Lincoln, Neb., Christopher Mark Jordan (Sarah Abraham) of Sioux City, Kylie Frances Jordan of Le Mars, Madison Rae Jordan of Akron, Gina Marie Lamp (Joe West) of Akron, Stephanie Rae Hargens (Michael Hargens) of Le Mars; six great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Jean Schwenn, Hayden Rae Korus, Broderick Michael Sauser, Kenna Rae Jordan of Sioux City; Kamden Christopher Jordan of Sioux City and Carly Mae West of Akron.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna (Wendt) Milander; her husband, Elno Ira Jordan in 1994; five brothers: Richard Milander, Pete Milander, Cliff Milander, Leo Milander, David Milander; and three sisters: Sylvia (Milander) Evans; Ruth (Milander) Clifford; Goldie (Milander) at birth.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Randoph with the Rev. Samm Johnston of United Methodist Church, Randolph and the Rev. Bill Ritter United Methodist Church of Columbus, officiating. Burial wlll be in Randolph City Cemetery in Randolph, Neb. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home in Randolph.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Sauser, Chris Jordan, Josh Korus, Jared Schwenn, Robert Huss and Keevin Pinkelman.
