Wanna catch the PIGS?

A group of tandem bikers will hit Le Mars this weekend.

More than 35 duos are signed up for the Paired Iowans Going Somewhere (PIGS) Le Mars rally.

If you want to see them pedaling along, you might catch them on these days:

Friday, Aug. 8th

5 p.m. depart Holiday Inn Express in Le Mars along bike trail heading toward Ice Cream Capital of the World ice cream parlor.

Saturday, Aug. 9th

9 a.m. depart Holiday Inn Express in Le Mars heading to Hinton. Bikers will follow the trail to Keystone Avenue then turn onto C38 (210th St), heading west to to K42, then bike south into Merrill. From there they'll turn on to C44 (Main St.), make a rest stop at Casey's General Store, then head out of town via K-30, turning onto C-60 into Hinton. Bikers will depart for Le Mars sometime around 2 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 10th

9 a.m. depart Holiday Inn Express in Le Mars, taking C-30 to K-64, going north into Oyens. The will return to Le Mars after breakfast.
