Dale Henry Sanow was born May 29, 1935, at rural Remsen, the son of Henry and Kate (Hansen) Sanow. Dale was raised in the Remsen area and received his education in the Union School system. At the age of 14, he bought his first tractor, a Ferguson, and farmed with his father and brother, William. He worked for a time on the Johnny Heline Turkey Farm. He trucked with his brother, Lester and took over the trucking business after Lester decided to seek other employment. He also farmed with the Klingbeil brothers for a while and for Dr. Ed Henrich. In 1972 he started farming with his life long friend, Clyde Schuttpelz. They farmed together until March 1997, when they both retired and Dale also quit trucking at that time.

Dale was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen and the church Dart Club, Sportsman Club, Ruth's Café Morning Coffee Group and Mrs. B's Afternoon Coffee Group.

He enjoyed old tractors, old cars, NASCAR racing, watching the Animal Planet Channel, a good joke, visiting with friends and giving his dogs a ride in his pickup. What he loved most in life was his dogs, especially Muffy, his little Yorkshire Terrier.

He went to heaven to be with his parents; his brothers, Lester and William; two nephews, Jim Sanow and Larry Sanow; a great niece, Wendy Sanow; and a great nephew, Scott Sanow.
