Grassley plans Le Mars visit

Le Mars will be one stop on a 15-county Iowa tour for Senator Chuck Grassley starting at the end of July.

The U.S. senator will hold a town hall meeting at the American Bank's lower level meeting room from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Monday, June 30. The bank is located at 234 5th Avenue Southwest in Le Mars.

Grassley's tour comes during the week-long Independence Day congressional recess.

"These meetings help generate an exchange of ideas that are necessary for representative government," he said.

Grassley's meetings in Iowa for the first week will take him to Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Cherokee, Crawford, Dallas, Harrison, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Sac, Shelby, Webster and Woodbury Counties.

The day after Grassley is in Le Mars, he will make a 6:45 -- 7:45 a.m. stop in Sioux City for the Woodbury County Meeting, speaking at the Morningside Sioux City Kiwanis at the Garden Café at Stone Avenue and Gordon Drive, then a 1 -- 2 p.m. stop in Anthon for the Woodbury County Town Meeting at the Anthon Community Center, followed by a 3 -- 4 p.m. stop to tour and meet with employees at the Sioux City business Sadex, located at 2650 Murray Street.
