Modesto and Priscilla Handy of Weslaco, Texas and Steve and Jan Sneller of Le Mars, announce the engagement of their children, Megan Hoogeveen and Kent Sneller.

The couple is planning a 4:30 p.m. ceremony on July 5, 2008, at Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Le Mars. The reception will follow at Hole N' The Wall Lodge in Akron.

Megan is a 2002 graduate of Weslaco High School and graduated from Buena Vista University with her bachelors degree. She is currently employed at Kingsley State Bank in Le Mars.

Kent is a 2001 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and received his associates degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College. He is currently employed at Wells' Dairy, Inc. in Le Mars.
